I had a conversation with a friend and I want to record this piece of wisdom before I lose it:
- Karma only ‘works’ if you believe in it.
My argument in support of this is that there are good people who do good things, yet have not-so-good things ‘happen to them. Conversely, there are people who do bad things, yet good things ‘happen to them’. If Karma were a Universal Law, then this couldn’t happen. Therefore, Karma is not a Universal Law. If Karma is not a Universal Law, then it is a Belief. That is, it is something that a person believes in, therefore one makes it true within their own experience. Which makes it subjective to the person who is believing in it.
Hence, my theory.
