Yep, he’s hired lawyers and is threatening to have broadcast licenses revoked if the stations accept ads from the NRA. Pretty oppressive.
Failure to prevent the airing of “false and misleading advertising†may be “probative of an underlying abdication of licensee responsibility†Cosmopolitan Broad. Corp v. FCC, 581 F.2d 917, 927 (D.C. Cir. 1978).
So basically, stop running NRA’s ads, or your broadcast license could be in jeopardy.
The Obama campaign sent cease and desist letters to news outlets in Pennsylvania and Ohio, denouncing the ads and demanding their removal from the airwaves. All stations where NRA-PVF has purchased or plans to purchase ads have been provided with documented evidence of Sen. Obama’s anti-gun record.

I really want some better quote and layout functions for this blogging software. The lack of indentation and formatting is making me angry. And I humbly apologize to my readers who find it difficult to follow the posts and their sources.
Why don’t you install a new theme? Or format your blockquotes?
I wouldn’t think the theme would have anything to do with it, but I’ll try.
I have tried using blockquotes, but I don’t know how to ‘format’ them. I’ll look into that.
