I spent the weekend in North Carolina with friends.
Words cannot express how thankful I am to have such good friends. It makes life a lot better, that’s for sure.
Now I understand why my parents used to travel to visit theirs so much.

I need to get to New York / New Jersey this year. I’m thinking Memorial Day weekend.
UPDATE: Vacation postponed by one week.

btw, July 4th is better. lots more 2do including watching the Macy’s fireworks – the biggest in this hemisphere. Just saying…
I was thinking of going to Chicago on the July weekend, but I like your idea better.
I’m not big on crowds, but fireworks can be seen from a long ways away….
Also, I’ve learned that I don’t travel to do things – I travel to visit. The places I can see in pictures (I’ve said that for years), but the people – the friends – mmmm, they are the reason for the visit.
