A word about Diana

Princess Di isn’t a woman I followed much.

Having said that, however, I have often said that she is a woman I admired and considered special.

She could have been (if the stars aligned) the Queen.  She was already a Princess.  How many people, in a planet of 4 Billion have a title like that?  Not many.  Yet, rather than live an unhappy life, she gave that up – and had a horrible situation with her boys – so that she could live as she chose.

That is some incredible strength there.

Most women in the world just sigh and go “Well, this is my lot in life.”  Few will work to change it, fewer will get out.  Divorce rates in America may be 50%, but not elsewhere.  Most people who are unhappy just suffer.

And she had it made!  Money, power, fame – everything!  She risked all of that because she wasn’t happy with that life.

So I admire her.

(I don’t think her death was a conspiracy.  Just stupidity.  And that sucks.)
